Programs vs. Courses
Programs
A program is a series of courses designed to give students a comprehensive understanding on a particular subject. Programs offer structured step- by-step curriculum, covering key areas, hands-on training, and a clear path to making you a competitive candidate.
Programs can last anywhere from 8 weeks to 15 weeks, depending on the selection.
Courses
Courses offer more focused learning and higher schedule flexibility, as they can be selected ad-hoc. Depending on your interest, you can deep dive into a specific area or topic without needing to commit to a longer timeline.
Courses can last anywhere from 40 hours to 210 hours, depending on the selection.
Prerequisites
Students must be at least 18 years old
Students must have a high school diploma or equivalent
Students must successfully complete the application process
Students must have a laptop to complete course and program work

Ricardo Azevedo - Code Academy Director
Mr. Azevedo has a masters degree in Internet Computing from Queen Mary - University of London. He has 17 years of experience as an instructor (since Sept. 2015 he has been acting as a Visiting Assistant Professor) for Aveiro University, located in Portugal. He has been a leader for Mindera Software Technology for 10 years.
